As a manufacturer of industrial mills for the food industry, Moinhos Vieira introduced its centrifugal hammer mills in the 1960s specifically for grinding maize to obtain cornmeal or mimosa.
Over this time, companies such as Yoki (General Mills), Seara, Kowalski, Milhão Alimentos, Rei do Milho, among countless others throughout Brazil and abroad, have used our grinding equipment for maize in their production lines.
Generally, maize meal is produced using 0.7mm conical perforation screens, which in our mills provide high productivity without increasing the temperature in the grinding box, maintaining the taste and flavor of authentic maize meal.
